The View’s Conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving ABC after 10 years to join Fox News’ Fox & Friends this September which appears to be a better fit!
Elisabeth Hasselbeck will replace Fox & Friends’ current co-host Gretchen Carlson who’s leaving the show for her own daytime slot on FOX.
Fox News Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes had this to say about his newest star,
“Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View. She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”
Elisabeth said that it’s an “honor” to call Fox News Channel her new TV home.
Elisabeth’s co-host Barbara Walters had this to say about her move to Fox,
“We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters. We will miss her and wish her everything good.”
Fox News Channel seems to be the better fit for Elisabeth because over the years she seemed to be the awkward girl out on “The View.” A mostly liberal cast Elisabeth was always defending her thoughts and views. Elisabeth has made a name for herself during her stint with “The View”. Elisabeth spoke at the Republican National Convention in both 2004 and 2008, and has interviewed Presidents Bush, Clinton and Obama during her career.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck will join current co-hosts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade on “Fox & Friends.” Like we said it looks like she will be in good and “comfortable” company.
