British singer Emeli Sande [san-day] talks about her experiences recording Beyonce and Jay-Z’s “Crazy In Love” a jazzy version of the HIP HOP anthem on being in LOVE for the “The Great Gatsby” soundtrack.
Emeli Sande is HOT! She took “Crazy In Love” and made it her own for the Baz Luhrmann Production of “The Great Gatsby“. Emeli told MTV News that the idea of working on a project where Jay-Z served as executive producer was “quite dauting“.
Emeli teamed up with Roxy Music’s Brian Ferry to put at 1920s twist on the supercouple’s hit song. Emeli considers it an honor to work on “The Great Gatsby” and that she enjoyed seeing how the music was used on the big screen.
When asked about Beyonce and Jay-Z and their thoughts on her version of “Crazy In Love,” she still doesn’t have a complete answer. She says,
“I haven’t met Beyonce, but I met Jay-Z afterwards and he was digging it.”
We think we are going to hear a lot from Emeli. Check out Kendrick Lamar feat. Emeli Sande – “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” below:
