Jacob Latimore may be new to the music scene but he’s already making a huge buzz currently on the Scream Tour. During one of his breaks he stops to discuss his music, inspirations, and his favorite subject; the ladies. Check inside for our full exclusive interview.

How long have you been performing and who introduced you to the music business?

Singing has always been in my family. My dad and uncle sing, they’re in a gospel group right now called the Latimore Brothers. They also use to sing in a R&B group back in day where MCA and Randy Jackson signed them. As I got older it’s just something that caught my eye and just was always around me. When I was 9 years old I started doing it professionally and started recording my own songs. My first song was called “Best Friend” and it got picked up by Radio Disney which was a big thing for me.

Jacob you’re such a natural, at 15 years old you’re performing all over the world for thousands of fans, has it been difficult adjusting to living on the road?

Actually it’s something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now. It’s actually the most fun thing about what I do, just being on the road and being with my fans. Performing in big venues every night is one of my dreams coming true.

Who are your greatest influences musically?

My family inspires me and I think I speak for every artist when I say Michael Jackson, Chris Brown, and Usher.

Many aren’t aware that you are a triple threat; you sing, dance and act. Out of the three which do you enjoy the most and why?

I would probably say music because music is my first love. Acting is something I still want to do and something I want to balance out with my career.

The Scream Tour has always been one of the top selling tours for years now, what do you feel you bring differently to the show?

I don’t feel like I bring anything that much different. I think all the young artist now are somewhat similar with just a lot of energy in our performances. Touring is just a lot of fun.

On your off days what do you do for fun?

For fun I just like to hang out with my friends and go to the movies. I’m a real big movie person. I’m not that much of a going out person; I’m more of a person that chills at home or on Skype with my friends and playing video games. I just like being to myself sometimes.

The ladies would love to know are you single?

(Laughs). Yes, I’m single.

Are you looking for a girlfriend and what do you like in a girl?

I’m not really looking right now, I just really love girls. I like a girl that’s down to Earth and just being you. I like a girl that can make me laugh but I would say if you’re not funny you don’t have to try to be, just be yourself.

How do you get along with the other acts on tour and who on tour makes the girls scream the loudest?

I think it’s hard to say because we would actually have to measure the screams because they go so crazy. I get along with everybody; we’re like a big family. The Scream Tour likes to run things like a family and we just have fun.

Do you attend public school or are you tutored?

I’m home schooled and I do all my work online. I just been doing that while I’m on the road and it’s been very helpful.

You have recently signed with RCA, so when will your debut album hit stores and what can fans expect?

It’s going to be a lot of energy. I’m a dancer so I love upbeat songs and most of songs will talk about girls, my passion for dancing and things like that. There’s no actually release date yet, we’re still working on it but I can’t wait for it to come out.

Do we have a title yet?

We actually don’t have a title yet. I was thinking Unstoppable or something like that. It just means no one can stop me from reaching my dreams. We’re just coming up with different ideas but I’m just not sure yet.

Well Jacob thank you so much for speaking with us today. Congrats on all your success and we wish you nothing more but continued success in this industry.

Thank you for having me.
