As reported by the AJC, hours after the Atlanta Falcons beat the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football their running back, Michael Turner, was in the Gwinnett County Jail. Turner had been charged last night with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.
Turner who lives in Suwanee was booked in the Gwinnett County Jail a little after 5AM. The 30 year-old was released about 2 hours later on $2,179 bond. Spokesman, Ed Ritter, of the Gwinnett police did not have any details on the arrest. Lt. Sean Smith, stated that Turner was pulled over for driving 97 mph in a 65 mph speed zone.
Turner joined the Falcons team as a running back in 2008. In last night’s game against the Broncos during Monday Night Football he scored his 51st touchdown which was a franchise record for the team.
