The summer vacations have officially begun for the kids of Atlanta, Georgia, and today was the first day of, Food Networks’ Chef Tregaye’s Junior Chef Summer Camp for girls of the amazing Ron Clark Academy. The 15 young ladies (grades 5th-8th) were chosen under the Saving Our Daughters’ Cinderella program that deter bullying and promotes self-esteem with the arts.
The Junior Chef Summer camp was birth after Chef Tregaye invited selected Cinderellas onset for the taping of Food Network’s “The Kitchen” which she was the guest chef host in April.
Today was the official launch for the Cinderella Chefs as they received a knife kit, The Culinary Artistry book and a thermometer to begin their cooking classes.
For their first day, the Cinderella Chefs made a citrus fruit salad with goat cheese and Pomegranate Gastrique after learning knife skills, dressing techniques and plating.
The camp for the Cinderellas will be for 4 weeks this summer as the girls are so excited to learn how to become chefs!!
