Tatyana Ali, best known for playing Ashley Banks on ’90’s sitcom “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” exchanged wedding vows in an intimate ceremony with her fiance Vaughn Rasberry. The couple got married in front of more than 100 close friends and family at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills, California.
According to a directory on the university’s website, Rasberry is an assistant professor in the English Department at Stanford University, where he focuses on African-American literature and postcolonial theory in his teachings.
The pair met in 2014 through dating website, eHarmony, and announced they were engaged and expecting their first child this March.
Ali exclusively told reporters that the theme of the wedding was an “upscale Caribbean vibe.” The bride wore a custom, silk Amsale wedding gown on her big day to match, while her bridesmaids wore raspberry-colored dresses.
The newlyweds celebrated after by dancing to hip hop, afropunk and tropical house tunes, enjoying a tiered, multi-flavored cake, and taking home a “wishing tree” that guests had tied ribbons around and left wishes on.
I wonder if Tevin Campbell performed at the reception. Congratulations Tatyana and Vaughn!
