The 2012 Grammy Award nominations are slated to be announced next month, but artist have already submitted songs for their respected categories. Record companies and artists submit songs to be nominated. Nominations are made online and a hard copy  is sent to the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. When the song is submitted, reviewing sessions are then held by experts from the recording industry.
