Gucci Mane is pleading not guilty to charges of assault. According to the “Atlanta Journal-Constitution,” the rapper was in court Monday to face accusations that he struck a fan with a champagne bottle at a local nightclub back in March.

The victim — who is reportedly a former soldier — claims he asked Gucci Mane to pose for a photo when the rapper allegedly hit him in the head with the bottle. Gucci Mane — born Radric Davis — recently spent nearly three weeks in jail for a probation violation stemming from the assault charge.

Earlier this month, the alleged victim in that case filed a lawsuit against Gucci Mane seeking an undisclosed amount of damages.
