Rapper Freddie Gibbs believes he was the intended target in a shooting early Tuesday morning. According to the “New York Post,” a gunman fired several shots into an SUV Gibbs and his crew were riding in following a show in Brooklyn. Two people riding with Gibbs were hit — one in the leg, the other in the hand. Both are expected to recover from their wounds.

After reviewing security camera footage, investigators believe the gunman was following Gibbs and his entourage at the concert venue, and was even right next to the rapper at one point. Gibbs explained the shooting by saying “They tried to kill Tupac. They tried to kill me,” adding “I’m still alive.”
