So it looks like Ice T is throwing a little shade to the homie Soulja Boy. Ice T was recently in an interview and mentioned that hip hop has really gone south, referring to Soulja Boy’s music and specifically his goal to produce a mini-movie remake of “Juice.â€
“At some point somebody gotta stop it,â€
Ice-T said.
We are not sure if he was referring to stopping Soulja Boy or stopping the beef between the two artists.
He then proceeded to comment on his feeling towards Soulja Boy doing the remake of the classic film “Juice”.
“If the masses accept it, it just shows you the state we’re in,â€
He also shed light on the fact that the current hip hop artist have it to easy and don’t respect the craft of real Hip Hop.
“It would be easy for me today because it doesn’t really require any backbone or anything that comes from anywhere. If you can sing along with the beat, it’s cool.â€
Well you know the homie Soulja Boy got wind of these statements and immediately went to twitter to respond:
Souljpunk need to stop….he is right about the state of hip hop. Just listen for yourself…hip hop real hip hop from back in the day 90’s era…yall youngins don’t have anything on that. And about doing the remake of Juice…nigga please. I’ll wait to see that…the original classic will do…thanks.
