Is Atlanta Local Investigative Reporter Adam Murphy Stalking Dr. Nedra Dodds at her Private Residence?

DrNedraDoddsInvestigative reporter Adam Murphy is really pushing the envelope in the case of Dr. Nedra Dodds of Opulence Aesthetic Medicine located in Kennesaw, GA. In the past couple weeks Adam Murphy has been spotted at Dr. Nedra Dodds private residence in Kennesaw beating on her door to the point where it’s scaring her children and making her feel like a prisoner in her own home. Murphy the investigative reporter covered the story of the 2 tragic deaths that took place over 1 year ago. See PR NewsWire ReleaseDodds has since had to have her attorney issue a cease and desist letter to Adam Murphy and the CBS news. He has made several visits to the home of the deceased patient’s dad’s home and keeps conducting  interviews in front of  the the Med Spa Clinic where Dr. Nedra Dodds practice is located. CBS news crew has been seen loitering in front of the building for long Screenshot 2014-03-19 22.12.19READ: [Doctor’s license suspended following cosmetic surgery deaths] periods of time during hours of business. Since the State Medical Board suspended Dodds’ license Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 (which Murphy is allegedly boasting to others about being responsible for through his relentless efforts and visits to the State Medical Board by insisting action be taken after 1 year had passed and Dodds was still in business servicing new satisfied clients).  Seems CBS News reporter Aaron Diamant and Murphy have been the primary 2 reporters (relentless to solve a case as if they work for the police department). We all know investigative reporters love to regurgitate the same story over and over through affiliate outlets. Most of the time it’s an attempt to find validity in alleged facts they previously put out that were merely allegations of what happened.

DrNedraDodds-photoAs a graduate of Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. After receiving her medical degree w/Honors not only did Nedra Dodds complete her residency in Emergency Medicine at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn; she also had the experience of training under the tutelage of Dr. David Satcher, former U. S. Surgeon General. Perhaps the media coverage of editors that doubted and questions the legitimacy of Dr Dodd’s credentials to perform any procedures on anyone is simply a case of “assuming that a woman of color” couldn’t achieve such credentials. Well FreddyO.com is here to deliver the facts and give credit to where it’s due. However, Dr Nedra Dodds did share with FreddyO the following, “I am human first, God fearing, a parent and a professional, there is not a day that goes by that I do not carry the torch of burden for the families of the two victims that life ended way too early. No merit of honor, degree or award can top the hurt I grieve daily thinking about the gift of life that ended for the two patients that were in my care.” “I have taken the necessary steps to re-instate my current license suspension as I take my career very seriously and I love being a doctor and caring for my patients and educating them consistently on how to take proper care of their bodies, pre and post opp procedures.” I can’t wait to get back to work.”

opDr. Nedra Dodds was never on trial for the incidents that happened to patients at her facility for any accusations of fowl play. Many false accusations have floated around in the press stating Dr Dodds’s hires anyone off the streets. FALSE!  All nurses employed at Opulence Asethic Medicine absolutely must have certification and credentials (which are listed on the company website as well as displayed in the office) to assist with patient care. We know there is an epidemic of cosmetic surgeries that has taken place in high numbers in Atlanta, GA and throughout the U.S. by people who were not licensed physicians.

InvestigativeReportWhen is a News Reporter doing too much to crack a case when he/she is not a detective? Can the media become guilty of BULLYING the wrong people in cases where all the facts clearly cannot be presented to the public for privacy act reasons? How many times should a reporter show up at the home of a Single Mom/or Family with children present? Are there limits and laws to the time of day or the proper procedures especially when they are not accompanied by the police? Should the press be required to bring a police escort to make sure they are not overstepping any “personal space guidelines?” After all there is such a thing called “In the privacy of your own home.” At what point are Media Folks/ Anchors/ Journalists/Bloggers(me too) #Idontmakehousecalls #IJS  given a pass to persistently visit a person’s private home?

woman-being-stalkedCould this be considered stalking if they are not invited or accompanied by an officer of the law. If this were turned around where a media person like Adam Murphy who the public felt was doing a consumer an injustice; and the consumer went to the anchor person’s home for questioning; would it be ok? Or would the anchor person be given the “Stand Your Ground Pass?” Maybe Dr. Nedra Dodds should go to the home apartment of Adam Murphy and ask him a few questions. Showing up with a bunch of her satisfied clients who want to relate the love and care they received while under her care during procedures. Post and past. Why do we never get the well rounded stories of “great results” received from many of the 15,000 + patients Dr. Nedra Dodds has serviced over the past 21 years in her practice? Where are those interviews? Maybe FreddyO will have to hit the streets and film and post the testimonials and Adam Murphy will stop displaying “Stalkerish Characteristics” in attempt to get an exclusive interview from a Professional who is not even at liberty to discuss anything about any patients especially with an investigative reporter that will stop at nothing to get an interview. #IJS

Liquid_Lipo_091709_21_mezzn_640x480People desperate to improve their looks that seek the help of bootleg persons on the black market performing this procedures God knows where injecting fix a flat and chemicals that can be purchased at your local Home Depot and what happens? Things go desperately wrong and some then seek the help of the professionals (we are NO WAY relating these conclusions to the tragic incidents affiliated with Dr Dodds). However this is a growing problem and the blame keeps getting placed on the wrong people. As consumers we have to be responsible for “Educating ourselves and our children and most important implanting in the hearts of our beautiful women that beauty begins on the inside” and maybe these women and men won’t be so pressed to get body enhancement work done at the risk of loosing their life by not consulting a professional or not disclosing pre-existing conditions with our medical professionals. But there have been plenty cases in a professional environment where things have gone wrong in the past. A doctor in Florida quoted below:

“I have had many former Strax customers seeking revision surgery,” said Lenny Hochstein, a nationally recognized cosmetic surgeon who practices out of Aventura. “It effects the whole industry when something like this happens.”

Who thinks Dr. Nedra Dobbs should have had her license suspended simply because the Investigative Reporter kept pressuring the Medical Board to take action because of the circumstances without any proof of fowl play? We all remember the case of Plastic Surgeon TV regular Dr Adams who also was under investigation for the death of Kanye West mom. Does this mean she was not a great surgeon or was not credentialed? No. But only after an investigative report was done on her (Dr. Jan Adams) Where is the Investigative report that was done on Dr Nedra Dodds? Was there ever one ordered? What were the results? I haven’t seen Adam Murphy or Diamant cover that story. There was a site visit by the Department of Community Healthcare facility regulation division in August 2013. This report has not yet been complete. Are we curious to know why the suspension was only based on the exact same verbiage report as the one submitted by the family of the victim or was it allegedly a report coerced by Adam Murphy? and his spiderman detective book guidelines that he uses for practice until he gets promoted Chief Detective?

Is there any reason Adam Murphy didn’t want the media to know that :

press release Dr Nedra DoddsPR Newswire

Justly, the local Fox affiliate did two stories that did provide the facts.

On September 23, 2013, Dr. Brian S. Frist, Cobb County M.E., released a report conclusively stating that the death of April Jenkins was due to natural causes.

On November 22, 2013, Dr. Brian S. Frist, Cobb County M.E., released a report indicating there was no evidence of a catastrophic event, that there were no ruptured vessels identified and that the cause of death was ruled accidental as a result of cardiac dysrhythmia associated with Hypovolemia.

Both Jenkins and Beaubrun passed away this year after a liposuction procedure was initiated at office of Opulence Aesthetic Medicine. Paradoxical to the news reports at the time of death, both patients were in the care of Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.

While both patients were known to have pre-existing health conditions we are prohibited by patient confidentiality laws from discussing Ms. Beaubrun’s or any other patient’s history or course of treatment while at our facility, unfortunately, information given to the medical examiner has significant incorrect assumptions as it relates to both patients.  As the medical examiner’s report recognizes, its opinions are only as good as the information it relies on.  We would also note that – if it were true that Ms. Beaubrun did actually expire as a result of “hypovolemia,” as the report hypothesizes – it would be very unusual that there was no effort to address that condition during while at Kennestone Hospital.  Hypovolemia – which refers to significant decreased in blood volume and/or characterized by salt (sodium) – in either case both would be easily diagnosable and treatable in a hospital setting

MAN I DON’T GIVE A SHIT WHAT YOU SAY OR HOW LONG OF A STORY YOU POST THE FACT IS PATIENTS DYING AFTER PLASTIC SURGERY AND UNDER A DOCTOR’S CARE IS NOT NORMAL AND HER ASS SHOULD HAVE HAD HER LICENSE SUSPENDED AND SOME JAIL TIME. JUST B/C THEIR WAS NO CRIMINAL ACTION TAKEN(YET) DOESN’T MEAN SHE ISN’T NEGLIGENT; IT MAY JUST MEANS SHE HAS A GREAT WAIVER FORM FOR HER PATIENTS TO SIGN WHICH IS WHY ONLY HER LICENSE GOT SUSPENDED. THE LICENSE BOARD IS A TOTALLY SEPARATE ENTITY FROM THE CRIMINAL ASPECT OF THE CASE. I GUARANTEE HER MALPRACTICE INSURANCE HAS BEEN DEPLETED BY THE FAMILIES OF THOSE DECEASED PATIENTS. SMH!!! SHE COULDN’T PULL SPLINTERS FROM MY FINGER………..JENNY JONES!!!

  2. Carlie Rae says:

Have I missed something, because with my procedures with Dr. Dodds I was informed of all worst case scenarios with my procedure! And what planet are you on Ms. .Jones. Do they slander all surgeons when deaths or patient care is not given? I can give several occasions I personally was not given care at the hospital! Wellstar in Marietta!!!

  3. Summayyah Ali says:

Carlie Rae, you have a lot to be thankful for and you should be counting your blessings. First, your procedure with Nedra Dodds was successful and secondly you are ALIVE, unlike April Jenkins and Erica Beaubrun. Regardless, to whether
you were informed of all the worst
case scenarios or not, you still had an expectation of SURVIVAL. Go to the Ga medical board website and READ. Read the order of suspension and think. Then tell me why did Nedra Dodds perform surgery on a patient with Hepatitis C, uncontrolled diabetes, and elevated high blood pressure. Please see that April Jenkins died on February 19, 2013 and 7 days later, February 26, 2013, Nedra Dodds performed surgery on K.S. and again on March 7, 2013. Your beloved quack has the brazen boldness to say, ‘no merit of honor, degree, or award can top the hurt I grieve daily thinking about the gift of life … Yes that b/s. This entire ordeal is about Nedra Dodds’ greed, seeing patients as dollar signs $$ sitting in her waiting room, negligence, and unprofessional behavior. Nedra Dobbs couldn’t remove a splinter from my finger either…..

It is always amazing – that ( by the remarks) – people of color buy into to the concept-the white man’s ice is colder-so therefore anything from people of color do things below the standards. This article is about the rights of an individual being ignored, and yes – there are racial implications . The two commentators- are low information people that the news caters to- just because they said it – it must be true. Jenny Jones- you obviously missed the story 2 weeks ago – about the 18 year old who died 2 weeks ago from having his wisdom teeth out .. Or the 13 year old around Christmas who died having her tonsils out. You are spending so much time trying Dr. Dodds in your un-educated court of opinion- your little pea brains are exploding.
Do yourself a small favor and Google if Hepatitis C- is a contra-indication for having surgery. You are so despondent in your own non- productive words, you would recognize – the Georgia Medical Board was only CYA-ing because of the media. You don’t know the doctor, nor the patients – so to assume greed is the cause -,tells on your own pathetic life. Those Board papers read just like the news- yet reason to not trust them . You should buy a dictionary or at least Google – collusion, co-hoots, nepotism, plagerize , perjury , racism, preferential treatments, politics.
You’ve written much but had nothing to say.
You obviously have all the answers to the patients medical history, the real procedures performed, the lack of action of EMS and Kennestone Hospial, and of course to,stay on topic the actions of Adam Murphy – coming to your home .
Regardless of what you think is the truth— remember Travon Martin only had Skittles in his pocket .

First I give my thoughts and prayers to the families grieving the above listed young women may they eventually rest in peace. I am positive just as I chose to consult with my best choice to perform my procedure so did they. They knew Dr.Dodds was the best choice for them. They knew the dangers, they we’re read as I was prior to my procedure the risk and dangers. Anything and everything we do in life has it’s risk. We all make decisions for ourselves, and we don’t always tell our families every detail. I been a patient of Dr. Dodds for 5 years she is not the monster, you seriously are not helping the beautiful ladies by your trashing a woman who works with passion, not for the $ dollar sign. She gives more then she takes. You have the right to have your own opinion but if you are trying to serve justice and want to help the ladies then please go after the people who inject illegal silicon for money. They are the true killers. They are the true illegal doctors without License. They are Money Hungry. Lives are taken from us unexpectedly sometimes, us women are stubborn sometimes, we do what we want . We sometimes choose not to read or listen to the worst case scenario. It becomes a it would not happen to me. I love this office, it’s staff and the physicians.

  6. anonymous jones says:

I used to work here and I left once I realized what kind of person she was. She had her medical assistant (no college education) and her RECEPTIONIST pushing propofol. It doesn’t matter if adam murphy stalked her. Pount is he STOPPED HER.

  7. In Memory of April Jenkins says:

I happen to know Dr. Dodds and have spent time with her in the O.R.. She is a nice person deep down but over come with her own self image. Everything she says and all P.R. releases are very carefully written out and planned by her personally. I would say she probably looses sleep at night staying up late and writing out her press releases. Always making sure that she is in some way shape or form a victim. Narcissism… Of course a lot of Drama in that practice. There are Professional moments, but there are also pathetic and dis-honest moments. Just because you are good half of the time doesn’t make it okay. Maybe she got financially in to deep with her med-spa and got desperate to “make a sale”. I believe this is why she chose to possibly over look some cases.
At some point after all of this has past I truly hope that Dr. Dodds can become more focused on Patient Care and less on personal drama. She has so much potential to be the best and has just tossed it away.

  8. Dissapointed says:

    Barry AKA Dr. Dodds–
You are a heartless and should be ashamed of yourself. You don’t care who you hurt as long as you can place blame on someone else. How do you look at yourself in the mirror every day being dishonest and hateful? Must be a sad life.

  9. S. Ali says:

If Adam Murphy went to Nedra Dodds’ home banging on the door, stalking her, and scaring her children, why didn’t she call the police and file a complaint against him? I’m quite sure the police would have been glad to come to her home and arrest Adam Murphy. I forgot she doesn’t call for help or emergency assistance right away. I guess she is still in her delay like in the case with April and Erica. Adam Murphy did his job as an investigative reporter and he never held a gun in Nedra Dodds’ back making her sit down and interview with him. However, he revealed the truth about her credentials, hospital privileges, and her only reply was, “that’s inaccurate”. Well Barry aka Nedra Dodds what is accurate? You were the pre existing condition for Erica Beabrun. The medical board didn’t get that info from Adam Murphy. That came from the records of Erica Beaubrun at Opulence. “EB had received previous surgical treatment from Respondent, Nedra Dodds, to remove especially hard silicone from her buttocks.” April Jenkins did not travel from Savannah to Club O with a pierced liver, 250cc’s of blood in her abdomen, or a perforated diaphragm. Why would a so called professional medical doctor that graduated with honors risk her license and practice to perform a procedure on patients with pre existing conditions ? GREED. Why not require a medical clearance indicating they were good candidates for liposuction surgery? GREED. Nedra Dodds would have never stepped back, took a look at herself and halted performing botched surgeries if the medical board did not suspend her license. It’s obvious she only cares about herself and blames everyone else. Sad but TRUE.

  10. y. billison says:

I was a patient of the infamous doctor 1 year ago and had the same procedures done as the women who died. I almost died! I took her to small claims court in December, 2013, to get back the money I paid for procedures that were not done because I went into severe respiratory distress. She, in turn, countered me for $5,000.00. She claimed I was the cause of my respiratory distress while undergoing the procedure. She lost. Her $5,000.00 claim was denied and I did get back money I paid upfront.
She did not even care enough to call and check on me the evening after surgery even though she had to give me an emergency medication called narcan during the procedure to increase my respiratory drive. Her so called office manager, who apparently was her speaker present with her in court, stated that the good doctor is not required to call anyone after surgery. You be the judge. This is not here-say, this is factual. It happened to me, not something I heard. She is all about money and never spoke of being God fearing until now. I know because I was a return customer, having my first procedure by her in 2008. Never once, back then, did she utter the name of God. I was lucky, anyone else who is former patient of hers and still breathing is lucky too. Those two women were neglected, in my opinion, and death was the result. She must never, ever be allowed to practice again. Thankful to the Medical Board for finally taking action before another life ends under the care of Dr. Nedra Dodds.

  11. Brenda White says:

I truly hope Dr. Dodd’s license is reinstated. She is very patient-oriented. I’ve been to Dr. Dodd’s office on four different occasions. I was pleased with the results and the courtesy of her staff. I question if the young lady who had the butt implants removed, had the procedure done correctly the first time or if she initially used some counterfeit doctor and her body became disfigured – so no other physician would correct the procedure because of the possible risks involved. I believe that Dr. Dodds tried to help her.

  12. Christina says:

She’s on the island of St. Croix working at the local hospital. The hospital just lost its CMS certification and they pull that stupid hire.

We only have one hospital on island.

  13. Christina says:

Update: The hospital cancelled her contract when it was brought to their attention. Of course our hospital can’t do simple due diligence.

  14. Lisa says:

It’s funny they say that black lives matters, but apparently black lives doesn’t seem to matter to some black folks. Bottom line two women lost their lives due to this doctors negligence. Fact she was never a Board Certified doctor for cosmetic surgery and she not have been performing these procedures. I am glad that the victims families are finally getting some closure.
