Jay-Z fans will soon be able to embark on their own journey from the streets of Brooklyn to the top of the hip-hop world. MTV News says the rap superstar is getting ready to launch a new Facebook game called “Empire.” The game will have users working their way up from Marcy Housing, where Jay grew up, to becoming an entrepreneur and a business mogul. “Empire” is currently in beta testing mode, but fans can sign up by visiting Apps.Facebook.com/JayZEmpire.
Jay-Z just recently added to his own empire when he reached a deal with the New York Yankees that will allow for his Rocawear clothing line to be advertised in Yankee Stadium. Hov is also said to be working on a new solo record. Final game in New Jersey for the Nets took place last night and Jay-Z was in the building (April 23) to help bid a final farewell to the last regular season for the New Jersey Nets before they head out to BK to begin their reign as the Brooklyn Nets next season.
