From back to front, Jermaine Paul is NBC’s new “Voice.”
The New York native who once sang backup vocals for Grammy winners Alicia Keys and Mary J. Blige was declared the winner of the hit singing competition on the show’s second season finale last night.
Paul, who reportedly gave up a chance to play basketball at Syracuse University to pursue his singing dreams, won a 100-thousand-dollar prize and a recording contract for his efforts under the guidance of celebrity coach Blake Shelton.
Tuesday night’s season finale also saw performances from artists like Justin Bieber and Flo Rida who performed a medley of his songs “Whistle” and “Wild Ones” with Team Cee Lo finalist Juliet Simms.
Flo Rida also said the name of his next album would be called “Wild Ones,” just like the name of the the single. “Wild Ones” the album is due out on July 3rd.
