Victor Cruz signed a five-year extension worth $43 million on Monday.
Check it out after the break!
Victor Cruz, who entered the league as an un-drafted free agent, hasn’t done too bad for himself. The deal works out to be a six-year, $45.879 million dollar contract. That breaks down to about $7.647 million per year. Cruz has amassed 170 catches for 2,628 yards and 19 touchdowns over the last two years, and is arguably the Giants best receiver.
This salsa dancing, Paterson, New Jersey native even hustled himself a Campbell’s soup endorsement. Remember the mama’s boy ads?
“I wanted to have some security and positivity going into the season with the comfort of a long-term deal,” he said, adding: “I just felt like it was time. . . . I’m done with the back and forth. What’s on the table is a really good deal. I’m really excited about it and it’s going to provide security for my family for a very long time. So I felt like today was the day.”
Cruz garnered additional fame after he caught a touchdown in Super Bowl XLVI. Congrats to Victor Cruz. It’s salsa time!
