Being the #1 rapper on the charts and one of the most controversial rappers of a new era comes with a price especially if you’re Kanye West. Although he’s having the best year of his career, the hip hop star revealed that he’s conteplated suicide years ago after his Mom died. He also talks about how he always wanted to work with JayZ and what it was like growing up in Chicago on behindnthe scenes footage from the Watch The Throne Tour.

In the video, Kanye’s voice is heard while “Otis” plays and he says “I Always knew it was gonna happen like this,” says Kanye, “Where I’m at right now is where I’m at when I was like four year old. You know like first hitting a piano or something like that.”

During an performance of the song “We Made It In America” Kanye was inspiring his audience, asking them to fight for their dreams and not to give up.

He then became emotional and confessed to the entire audience of the Los Angeles Staples Center that three years ago, after his mother passed away, he was on the brink of suicide. As you know his mom died in November of 2007, and afterwards Kanye went into a depression admitting that he never took time to grieve properly.

It wasn’t until the Amber Rose breakup, the Taylor Swift “incident” and people lashing out at Kanye for being a jerk at the 2009 MTV VMA’s that he realized that he needed to get out of LA and out of the music scene for a while.

Later in the show, while perfoming “Heartless” audiences could see tears falling down his face. “People tell you to always be humble, humble, humble, [but] when’s the last time anyone told you to be amazing, great, or awesome?”

However, he then said that he’s past those thoughts, “I will not give up on life again,” says West, “There’s so many people that will never get the chance to have their voice heard…I do it for them.” We’re glad he’s not thinking like that because we love Kanye! He’s enjoying the success of the “Watch The Throne” album and tour which has received great reviews!

After hearing Kanye’s true thoughts can you understand why he acted the way he did a few years ago?
