Kelly Rowland arrived stylishly comfortable at Heathrow Airport on Monday (May 28). Crunktastical reports despite losing her ‘X Factor’ seat the “Motivation” singer was awarded with TV Personality of the Year honors at the Glamour Awards ceremony held at London’s Berkeley Square.

Kelly was named best TV personality at the Glamour Women of The Year awards last night.

Despite the star no longer appearing on TV as a judge on the X Factor, Kelly arrived at Berkeley Square for the event looking stunning in a floor length gown. Believing that her award proved that she was a hit with the British viewers, the Metro reports a source saying:

“There was never any question that Kelly connected with the public. This award was voted for by the public. When she heard she won, Kelly wanted to fly straight back to say a big thank you to her British fans.”

The source added: “She wanted to make sure there was no beef between her and them – she loves the British public.

“This proves there was never any question about Kelly connecting with the public, like some people had said.”

Following the star’s announcement of her departure, reports started to suggest that Kelly wasn’t even given a contract to look over as Simon Cowell reportedly wanted Dannii Minogue to return to the show.

A source told The Sun at the time: “Kelly was never given a contract to look at by bosses. Simon has remained a big fan of Dannii’s and wants her back.”
