Keri Hilson took a break from her tour with Lil’ Wayne, I Am Still Music, to sit down and give an interview to WILDAtlanta. They talked about a number of things ranging to her diet on tour, what separates the boys from the men, as well as how she is VERY unforgiving towards men who have done her dirty. What stood I out to me was when the interviewer asked her if it felt great to be back at home. Keri stated:
There’s a stigma about Atlanta crowds.Very, very hard to please. They watch shows like this (sits back and gives blank stare).
How true do you think this? Do you feel that Atlanta crowds are hard to please? Check out the rest of the interview with Keri below. If you haven’t already caught the tour yet, make sure you do.
Update: Keri’s people just called me to inform me of the fact that other artists have been saying the same thing…Take for example Lil Wayne, who recently tweeted after his ATL concert this weekend:
What’s going on ATL?!
i am glad somebody finally said it. just look at any award show that is taped here in atlanta. it is dead boring. BET Hip Hop awards, soul train and something else, i can’t remember. but the audience is boring, which causes the show to be boring. look at shows taped in NY or other places and it is a whole different feel. one of my friends’s sons said they booed some entertainer at the birthday bash. he said everybody booed the entertainer, i said that is stupid. why would u boo someone who is there to perform for you and u paid your money to boo them off the stage. silly.
IT’S NOT THAT THE CROWDS ARE BORING SOMETIMES PEOPLE GET TIRED OF THE SAME OL SHOWS. SWITCH IT UP AND DO SOMETHING A LITTLE MORE INTERESTING TO BRING THE CROWD TO THEIR FEET. KERI IS A CIARA WANNA BE SO SHE JUST NEEDS TO GIVE IT UP AND GO SIT DOWN SOMEWHERE. IF THEY HAD ANY TYPE OF STAGE PRESENCE THEN THEY WOULDN’T WORRY ABOUT THE CROWD BEING HARD TO PLEASE!!!
well look at it this way if you can win over ATL crowds than you know you are the sh!t. hell bring your ‘A’ game there it will be no worries.
I don’t think ATL crowds are hard to please, I just think people are tired of seeing these no talent/no singing people. I’m not necessarily talking about Keri but people are wanting to see REAL talent. Look at the talent we have out today?!. Nobody is selling records and the play the SAME shit on the radio. And the music sound like s.h.i.t.
