Kim Kardashian is sharing with the world that being a mother of a biracial baby has changed her views on racism and discrimination. People always say that babies change everything.
Check out the details below.
The lovely Kim Kardashian is opening up about her views of racism and discrimination since becoming a mother of a biracial baby (North West). In a blog post, Kim explains that before having her daughter with rapper Kanye West she always viewed racism as “someone else’s battle.” While she doesn’t go into detail, she says she’s recently experienced some incidents that have “sickened” her and opened her eyes to the fact that “racism and discrimination are still alive.”
Those events have made her realize that she has a duty not only as a mother, but also as a public figure, to assure that all children grow up without the threat of discrimination. Kim also references Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai and slain Florida teenager Trayvon Martin.
Wow, babies really do change things. Could our favorite reality star turned mommy have a new career in advocacy and politics? I guess time will tell!
This is only funny because she is a woman of color herself. However, if her having a baby is what it took, then good for her. I’m glad she no longer thinks of it as “someone else’s battle.” SMH
