Lady Gaga has been sued by her former personal assistant who claimed to have been overworked but underpaid. Named Jennifer O’Neill, Gaga’s former PA was employed for 13 months.
According to sources, the 48-year-old personal assistant accompanied Lady Gaga on her Monster Ball world tour last year. According to sources, Jennifer claimed that she put 7,168 hours of unpaid overtime and is now owed more than $380,000. She also claimed that she had to work according to the singer’s unreasonable demands around the clock.
Jennifer added that she had to ensure ‘the promptness of a towel following a shower and serving as a personal alarm clock to keep [Gaga] on schedule.’ She further alleged that she wasn’t given breaks for meals, even sometimes sleeps. In court reports, she claimed that she needed to be available at the star’s earliest waking hour for for random matters in the middle of the night, indicating that she had to work too much for the singer.
However, sources said that the former personal assistant was paid $75,000 a year for her service. But she filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court last week demanding further $380,000 in total.
