Larenz Tate Landed A lead Role On ABC Show “Salamander”



Larenz Tate has snagged a lead role in the ABC pilot, Salamander. The 41-year-old actor will play Ethan, a brilliant engineer who recruits a Homeland Security Psychiatrist to help him track a bank robber.

The bank robber is specifically targeting deposit boxes that happen to belong to the elite and powerful. Salamander is based on the 2012 Belgain series and is currently in its pre-production phase with ABC. Currently, there is no pilot release date.

Tate is best known for his roles as Peter Waters in Crash and as O-Dog in the 1993 film, Menace II Society. His other films include Dead Presidents, Love Jones, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, A Man Apart, Waist Deep, Biker Boyz and Ray. Tate also snagged a recurring role in the fourth season of Power, playing Rashad Tate, a city councilman from Jamaica Queens.
