Lil Wayne is on the mend after suffering a seizure that landed him in Los Angeles’ Cedar-Sinai Medical Center on Friday. After initial reports that Weezy was close to death proved false, a source close to the rapper tells CNN that Lil Wayne is doing well. This had the internet and people all over the world going crazy about the false rumors. Our Source told us that Wayne is “just resting” and doing good. Weezy’s colleagues at Young Money Records have also spoken out to let fans know that the rapper is doing well. On Saturday, Young Money president Mack Maine took to Twitter to say that reports about Wayne being on life support were false. He added that Wayne was “alive and well” and that he and Lil Wayne were watching a Syracuse University game on television.

Celebrity gossip website TMZ first reported false rumors that Wayne was on life support and that his family was being ushered to the hospital to make critical end of life decisions which was false. This caused friends and family to speak out about the false rumors.

Mack Maine, one of Wayne’s closest friends in Young Money who is at the hospital with him, continued his bashing of the site saying:

And Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex also says he spoke to Birdman, who re-confirms Weezy is awake and fine.

The exaggerated reported prompted a harsh backlash from Wayne’s friend, rapper T.I. Tip said that the false reports were hurting Lil Wayne’s mother and children. T.I. isn’t the only artist showing love to Lil Wayne. During an appearance at South by Southwest on Saturday, Usher gave a shout out to the rapper. He also asked the crowd keep the rapper in their thoughts.
