Lil Wayne is now even with the IRS. The rapper has officially paid back almost $8 million his back taxes to the government.
Gossipextra.com reports that the IRS has released liens on Lil Wayne’s Miami Beach home following the payment. He apparently owed the government $3.3 million for 2008 and $2.2 million for 2009. Lil Wayne was slapped with liens after he tried to purchase an $11 million house in Miami last year. Before that he was apparently renting a house, which the government couldn’t place a lien on.
Lil Wayne is preparing the release of his tenth album “I Am Not A Human Being Two.” The rapper has already announced that the album will feature Drake, 2 Chainz, Future and Nicki Minaj. He has released two singles from the album. The record’s lead single “My Homies Still,” featuring Big Sean, debuted at number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
