In other Lil Wayne news, the “Lollipop” rapper is denying reports that he’s been having a difficult time selling his Miami condo. The emcee recently spoke with BBC Radio’s Tim Westwood, and said his marijuana use and hip-hop lifestyle isn’t hurting his property’s value. He explains, quote, “We’re not having trouble selling it, but all the other stuff is true.” Wayne goes on to say that people have actually found his residence to be appealing, adding that many people want to buy a piece of the rap world.
Last December, a prospective buyer described Lil Wayne’s crib to the “New York Post” stating, quote:
“Once we got there, a member of Wayne’s posse opened the door to the overwhelming smell of marijuana. Two hot, rap-video-looking girls were walking around in nothing but a bra and underwear, blasting hip-hop. We just went in and looked around and tried not to stare.”
It is not known if Lil Wayne’s three-point-one-million-dollar Miami condo is still on the market.

Lil Wayne’s “Rebirth” Opens At Number Two On Billboard 200
Lil Wayne’s rock-inspired “Rebirth” album has gotten off to a solid start. According to Billboard.com, the record will debut at number two on this week’s Billboard 200 chart after selling 176-thousand copies. “Rebirth,” which was originally slated to arrive early last year, is now Lil Wayne’s seventh top ten album. “Weezy’s” last release, 2008’s “Tha Carter Three,” opened at number one after selling one-million copies in its first week. While “Rebirth” didn’t top “Tha Carter Three’s” success, it did surpass the 150-thousand albums that industry experts projected it would sell.
Lil Wayne made headlines on Tuesday when he appeared in a New York courtroom for sentencing on gun charges. His sentencing was postponed because the emcee needs oral surgery for a cracked tooth. He is due back in court on March 2nd. Wayne will receive one-year behind bars, but is expected to serve eight to ten months assuming good behavior.
Elsewhere on the Billboard 200, Lady Antebellum is the proud owner of this week’s number one record, as their “Need You Now” album sold 209-thousand copies. Nick Jonas & the Administration’s “Who I Am” sits at number three with 82-thousand copies, while Lady GaGa’s “The Fame” is fourth with 79-thousand copies. The “2010 Grammy Nominees” album rounds out the top five with 71-thousand albums sold.
