LRG Co-Founder Jonas Bevacqua Found Dead

A respected name in the hip-hop fashion community has died. Jonas Bevacqua, co-founder of the clothing line LRG, was found dead in his Laguna Beach home on Monday night. He was 34. Orange County sheriff’s spokesman Jim Amormino says they hope to have more information regarding the cause of death later this week.

Amormino adds that while they would like the autopsy to reveal a cause of death, the investigation could take much longer if toxicological reports and further inquiry are required. Jonas Bevacqua founded LRG with Robert Wright in 1999. LRG has developed strong ties with the hip-hop community over the years. Artists like Drake, De La Soul, Pete Rock, and DJ Jazzy Jeff have sported LRG clothing in advertisements. LRG has also helped with the release of several mixtapes and sponsored records released by artists such as B.o.B. and Chicago rapper Outasight.
