Chris “Ludacris” Bridges and his mother, Roberta Shields, president of The Ludacris Foundation, recently provided one of their organization’s volunteers with a much-needed surprise we’re sure she’ll never forget!
Here are the details…
Don’t you just LOVE good news, especially around the holidays? Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, founder of non-profit organization The Ludacris Foundation recently teamed up with car maker Acura to surprise one of its hardest working volunteers, Kellie Hutchens, with a brand new 2015 Acura TLX!
In Atlanta, Bridges is known as not only a former (and very popular!) radio DJ, Grammy-winning rap artist, and actor in a number of movies (Crash, four of the Fast and Furious franchise films, Hustle & Flow, etc.), but also as someone who continually gives back to the community through his foundation’s numerous outreach programs. The Ludacris Foundation has been in existence since 2001, and since then, the organization has been a mainstay in community service; continuing to inform and inspire youth to be educated and encouraging adults through adopt healthier lifestyles as well as fostering economic development.
Hutchens, whose worked with the foundation for 17 years, says that she’s been in the position that many of the people who seek assistance from The Ludacris Foundation are in and truly wants to give back because she says “organizations like these change people’s lives.”
