Matthew Knowles and all Music World Artists Banned from Radio One
Beyonce first stopped working with Matthew Knowles, now Radio One joins her as well.
According to sources, TV One is suing BET Network, MTV and Music World Music for violating its exclusive rights to the Essence Music Festival.
Matthew Knowles’ Music World Music brokered the deal for the Essence Music Festival broadcast with TV One. However, he broke the deal and allows MTV, BET and other channels to broadcast the music that only Channel One had exclusive rights to.

As a, say punishment, Radio One has pulled off all the music from Music World Music from its radio stations nationwide in an order to radio station employees.
“All Radio One personnel were told to pull all Music World artists out of rotation immediately and indefinitely! We were told that the mandate came straight from Ms. Hughes and that there would be ramifications for anyone playing or mentioning a Music World artist or song on air,” said one Radio One employee.
Another Radio One employee added:
“Radio One owns at least 12 gospel stations across the country – that’s the majority. It’s hard for artists to sell CD’s without radio airplay! Right now Music World definitely isn’t getting any from Radio One. Le’Andria Johnson’s song ‘Jesus” was in heavy rotation on Radio One stations one day and the next day she wasn’t getting any spins. New music by Trin-I-tee 5:7 and Micah Stampley, as well as recurring hits by Brian Courtney Wilson have been pulled as well.”
It appears Matthew Knowles has a bad future ahead of him unless he takes some serious steps right now.

Dear Ms.Hughes,
I am an artist. I want to know how you can stand in the way of the blessings of others? What about the artists? I don’t pay much attention to gospel, but I remember Leandria’s Sunday Best audition and hasn’t she struggled enough? Aren’t you perpetuating sterotypes that we are trying to run from as a race? You are allowing a personal matter to effect the lives of others that are not even in the middle of your beef. Don’t deal with Matthew Knowles, we don’t care, but when you are standing in the way of artists, I care. I clicked on this story and had no idea of how angry this was going to make me. I am very dissapointed in you as a business woman. Who cares who you are as a person, but you have a responsibility as a radio station owner to play what people want to hear. This is classes act that could destroy careers, and you are cool with that? That’s shady business lady. Why don’t you not invite him to parties or ban him from calling or visiting you, but you banning his artists is sort of like HBO refusing to play Sex and The City cause the CEO had beef with their CEO. Grow up, SON! I would like to call you something else, but I am classy.
