Beyonce’s handwritten note to First Lady Michelle Obama didn’t go unnoticed. Mrs. Obama responded to the pop superstar’s kind words via Twitter, thanking Beyonce for “the beautiful letter.” The First Lady also thanked Beyonce for being “a role model who kids everywhere can look up to.” Beyonce posted a letter to Mrs. Obama on her website, Beyonce.com, last week. The singer described Obama as the “ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman,” adding that she’s always “humble, loving and sincere.”

Beyonce is getting ready to deliver her first live performances since becoming a mom back in January. She’ll spend Memorial Day Weekend entertaining fans with shows in Atlantic City.
