Love Does Not Hurt Campaign

Tiffany Marshall, Mrs. GA Globe 2014, is determined to help stop domestic violence! She is the spokeswoman for The W.I.N. Foundation, an outreach program that specializes in abuse recovery. Marshall understands the importance of helping women get out of these situations, as well as moving on from them That is why she has implemented the “Love Does Not Hurt” virtual campaign!

The W.I.N. Foundation has launched a campaign called, Love Does Not Hurt. Love Does Not Hurt is a virtual campaign where both men and women join the “Love Does Not Hurt” movement. Domestic violence needs to be evicted from the game of life. Joining this campaign can make this happen.

She also assists in empowering women. “You have to get them to recognize their worth! Make them understand ‘I deserve more,'” she explained. “It is easier for women to want to stay in these relationships because they don’t know what it is like not to be in them.” We discussed how many people believe that we have to protect the woman (abused) from the man (abuser); she is the victim, therefore, she needs to be protected from whoever is inflicting the pain. However, the real person we have to protect the woman from is herself.

With her campaign, she wants that men and women help take a stand to end domestic violence! She asks that everyone who joins the (video) campaign records a video and share why it is important, and then challenge two people along with an NFL player. Unfortunately, given the recent string of events that has happened with NFL players, it is important that they take a stand too. “The NFL needs a W.I.N. It has a black-eye on itself but this is the time that we can create change. Not just the NFL, but also young men around this country need to see other men take a stance against violence towards women,” explained the President and Founder of The W.I.N., Dr. Tracey Kimble.

Outside of all of the hard work that Marshall does, she still has a full plate. Between pageants, being a mom, and community service, I wondered how she was able to balance it all? “I have La’Torria (publicist)!,” she laughed. I can genuinely say after interviewing her, she is a “Jill of trades.” I admire that Marshall just did not want to be another “pretty face” and that she wanted to use her title for good! “Some girls who join pageants, join them just to win and are not genuine.” Her next pagaent is Mrs. USA Globe, which will take place in March of next year.

It is always amazing seeing someone who uses their title to give back to the community. I was never aware that domestic violence affects one out three women, and as alarming as this statistic is, people still tend to overlook the issue. It is heartbreaking to know that that one person could be your sister, best friend, cousin, mother, and etc. That is why it is imperative that we, as people, take a stand to bring an end domestic violence! I am happy that Tiffany Marshall is here to take that stand and make this world a better place.
