Mystikal Begins Sentence For Domestic Abuse : Releases New Single Before Heading Off To Jail

Rapper Mystikal is back behind bars in Louisiana. TMZ.com says the hip-hop star turned himself in to authorities on Monday as scheduled to begin serving out the remainder of his 90-day sentence for domestic abuse. The judge gave the rapper credit for nine days served when he was detained after his arrest in February. Details of the circumstances that led to his arrest are still not clear. Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, spent six years in a Louisiana prison for sexual battery and extortion. He was released in January of 2010 and placed on five years probation.
Mystikal is leaving fans with a little something to remember him by while serves out the remainder of his 90 day sentence in a Louisiana jail.

On the same day he began his sentence for a domestic abuse charge on Monday, the rapper released the not-safe-for-radio single, “Bull****” via Twitter.

The explicit track will also appear on an upcoming Mystikal mixtape titled “Origins,” due out July 30th.

“Origins'” release date falls right in the midst of Mystikal’s jail sentence. The rapper started paving the road for a comeback last year after his release from a six-year prison stint in 2010 for sexual battery and extortion. Late last year he inked a deal with Cash Money Records and released the single “Original,” featuring Cash Money stars Lil Wayne and Bryan “Birdman” Williams.
