The murder of Tupac Shakur shocked the hip hop world to its core. Over 20 years later the answer to who killed Tupac on that Las Vegas strip back in 1996 is still a mystery. Everything from Suge Knight being involved, even though he was in the same car as Shakur, to him faking his death and living in Cuba are all theories fans have discussed over the years.
In a new documentary called Murder Rap, a former detective with the LAPD named Greg Kading claims the department covered up the truth and had actually solved the crime. Based on the 2011 book of the same name, Sean “Diddy” Combs is named as the man who orchestrated the hit on Tupac. Kading says that Diddy hired Crips to take out Shakur and Suge Knight.
He also claims the death of Notorious B.I.G. was retaliation and Knight was behind that hiring Bloods. He alleges the reason the case did not go any further is because of Diddy’s fame and that the two gunmen were killed themselves. The documentary has been released before last year, but most people will be seeing it for the first time when it airs on Netflix this spring.
