Beyoncé has released a new song entitled “Rise Up” that she recorded for the soundtrack for the animated film Epic. “Rise Up” was co-written by singer/songrwiter Sia and produced by Hit-Boy and Chase N Cashe.

Beyoncé also lent her voice to “Epic” as she portrayed the role of Queen Tara who is the leader of the fantasy world where the story takes place.

“Rise Up” is an inspirational song in which Beyoncé’s character, Queen Tara, sings to encourage the magical creatures of her land. In the song Beyoncé sings:

“Some people try to drag you down/Take it from me, stand and be proud/ You’re a warrior, you’re my warrior/Be who you are.”

“Rise Up” is expected to be featured on Beyoncé’s new album that will be released this summer. “Epic” is out in theaters now.
