Robin Thicke fans should be on cloud 9 this week as Interscope Records has premiered not one, but two new singles from Robin Thicke’s upcoming album, “Blurred Lines”.
Yesterday, “The Good Life” made its exclusive premiere on Global Grind.
Produced by Projay, “The Good Life” is a soulful, reflective, feel-good track on which Thicke sings about how being able to appreciate the good life despite the things that may not always be so good about life:
Life takes you up and down/And life spins you all around/The Good Life/I know I made it/With you

Today, we received a new Robin Thicke single, “Ain’t No Hat 4 That”, that was written by Robin Thicke, and his dad, Alan Thicke. It also features an adorable intro by Robin Thicke’s three year old son, Julian.
“Ain’t No Hat 4 That” has a completely different sound from “The Good Life”. “Ain’t No Hat 4 That” is an upbeat track that makes you want to dance as soon as the song starts. On this song, Thicke sings about a materialistic woman who buys or takes things to make her feel good about her life’s problems, but he warns her that material things can’t cure everything:
You got your cure for anxious/ You got your pill for bad/ But your fancy shoes and handbag/ Can’t help you when you’re sad/ ‘Cause there ain’t no hat for that

“Blurred Lines” is due out on July 30. You can pre-order it now on iTunes.
