Photos : Obama “Deeply Saddened” By “Shocking” Afghanistan Shooting

President Obama is offering his condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives after an American soldier opened fire on civilians in Afghanistan. In a statement, the president said U.S. officials will work “to get the facts as quickly as possible and to hold accountable anyone responsible.” An unidentified U.S. service member walked off his base in southern Afghanistan early Sunday and shot several civilians. Afghan President Hamid Karzai says 16 people were killed, including nine children and three women. He’s demanding an explanation for what he’s calling “an assassination.”
