Singer Ray J has been slapped with ten misdemeanor charges following an incident at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in May that includes sexual battery.

TMZ reports that among the charges is a misdemeanor count of sexual battery for allegedly making contact with a woman’s rear end.  Prosecutors leveled the charge against him despite police calling the contact “incidental” at the time it happened.  Ray J was also hit with four counts of resisting arrest, three counts of assault and battery and two counts of vandalism.

Ray J was arrested after getting combative with hotel staff, who kicked him out of the hotel bar for allegedly grabbing a woman’s buttocks.  He was also accused of kicking out the rear window of the police car as he was being transported to jail.  He claimed he kicked out the window because he was claustrophobic.
