The Real Atlanta Housewives

Yesterday I was told that the folks over at Bravo are now looking to bring in a character for the Atlanta housewives, who doesn’t mind getting a little gritty. Ever since Nene decided to not give them ghetto, they have been on the prowl for a new housewife to add more drama to the cast.

I was also told that one of the wives will not be returning. Hummm I really don’t know about that? — I love them all, and don’t want anyone of them to go. I was told the person but cant say just yet…

Here are some pics from last seasons premiere party …

Dr. Conrad Murray Is Trying To Sue Anyone He Can To Get A Check Coming In

Dr. Conrad Murray
TMZ is reporting that Dr. Conrad Murray may sue AEG for $300,000 — the money he claims he’s entitled to under a contract he signed with AEG to provide MJ with medical services. But sources connected with AEG tell TMZ the contract was never signed.

We’re told a contract was drafted but it required three signatures — AEG, Michael Jackson and Dr. Conrad Murray. Sources say Dr. Murray signed the contract and sent it to AEG but neither AEG nor MJ ever signed it.

The contract, we’re told, also said it expressly hinged on Jackson signing. Sources say AEG is drawing a hard line. They will not pay Murray a penny. I think it is so sad how people are tying to milk the Jackson estate for all this money, AFTER the fact that Michael has passed! They know damn well none of this shit would be going on if Michael was still alive. He is probably rolling over in his grave right now. SMH RIP Michael.

The Real Housewives of ATL second season has wrapped, and now a lot of people are waiting for the third season, and are not even worried about the Orange County ladies. But I just recently found out that the production company that is behind the Housewives franchise teamed up with Princess Banton-Lofters, the casting company behind The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and produced the Boys Club: ATL. I have been told that the show will not be focused on Atlanta Gay men, as reported by other blogs… They are looking for men in the industry that have money and power…

Although the title may not be set in stone, their still not sure if Bravo will pick up the show or not. The show will of course be set in Atlanta and will focus on the dramatic lives of men who are just as interesting as their women.

On a lighter note though, I’d like to see Dwight or even Kim’s wig hairstylist in a spin off series, or even that guy who Sheree said “who gon’ check me boo” too. Now that would be an interesting and HILARIOUS show to watch! Here are some throw back pic’s from Dwights B-Party!!!!

CAU Student Open Letter On Slain Spelman Student

JASMINE_1_294650c
Today I recieved an email, from an upset student from my alma mater, Clark Atlanta University, about the tragic death of AUC student Jasmine Lynn, and her parents lawsuit against the school.  Here is the letter, please feel free to comment on your thoughts about the letter. Do ya’ll think she was out of line? Pictured above is Jasmine Lynn’s parents.

As a student of Clark Atlanta University I am very aware of the situation with Jasmine Lynn, and I agree that it is a sad and terrible situation. No parent should ever have to have their child sent home in a casket. Although the next statements that I will make, may seem a tad bit harsh and heartless, they are my views, and whether or not others agree with me is none of my concern.

Believe me when I say that I know the pain of losing someone and I know how much it hurts, but I do believe the parents’ law suit against Clark Atlanta University (CAU) is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. The person at fault for Miss Lynn’s death has been taken into custody, CAU is not responsible for her death. It was simply a matter of wrong place wrong time. Public Safety came to the scene and gave all the aid that they could, if anyone should be sued it should be Atlanta Police Department and the ambulance services, for taking forever to get to the crime scene.

Maybe if Miss Lynn was on her campus instead of being out so late, in what we all know is not a great neighborhood, this sad tragedy would not have happened. And as heartless as it sounds it’s the truth. Spelman and Morehouse student always complain and bash CAU for being in the “ghetto”  when they do not take into consideration that their institution is in the same “ghetto” as CAU, they just have gates surrounding their campus. And what I do not understand is, if it’s so bad why do you continue to come over here? CAU’s main campus is gated, the only dorms that are not gated are the upper-classmen dorms.

It is so sad what had to happen to this young woman’s life, and I’m sure it had people more alert about their surroundings, but it saddens me that something this tragic is what it took for people to take new safety precautions, and it’s also sad that it took something this tragic to increase AUC unity.

As I stated before, this shouldn’t have to happen to anyone, but I think the parents are just looking for someone to blame with this lawsuit. And I do not believe this lawsuit has any validity. I just pray that the family can eventually one day become at peace, and they are in my prayers every night, because this is such a disheartening situation.
