PHOTOS: #ATL Screening of “Barbershop: The Next Cut” with Ice Cube & Cedric the Entertainer

Over the night I had the opportunity to check out “Barbershop: The Next Cut” staring Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer at the Atlanta private screening. Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer graciously greeted fans and was awarded by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed for their excellence in the arts. Check out the details below.

BARBERSHOP: THE NEXT CUT cast members Ice Cube and Cedric the Entertainer introduced their new film in Atlanta on yesterday, March 17th at Regal Atlantic Station. WVEE-FM’s Wanda Smith kicked off the screening, which included a special presentation from Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed who honored the cast with the notable Phoenix Award for contributing to the growing Atlanta film community, as the movie was filmed in the city.

The screening was well attended by local celebrities including:

Momma Dee, VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta

The event was truly star studded as the main stars attended the screening of the film that was set in Chicago but was filmed in the ATL. The event was attended by celebrities and Atlanta’s most influential taste makers. “Barbershop: The Next Cut” is hilariously funny and thought provoking as it deals with topics of interest ranging from relationships to black live matter. The movie was a reunion of sorts that felt like seeing old friends while making some new ones. I truly enjoyed the film and can’t wait until you all get to see it in theaters April 15, 2015!

Guests enjoyed a meet and greet at Atlantic Station’s Yard House and enjoyed complimentary Creme of Nature hair products the official hair care product of Calvin’s Barbershop!
