I had the opportunity to spend my afternoon basking in the presence of Frank Ski Kids Foundation Local Legends and their scholarship recipients. Frank Ski Kids Foundation under the wonderful leadership of president Tanya Ski and the new director Elisha Silvera created an afternoon of mentorship, scholarship, and grand dining.

Frank Ski Kids Foundation Local Legend Luncheon is the brain child of Tanya Ski who wanted to create an event celebrating academic excellence in young women. Taking her cue from THE OPRAH WINFREY she created a celebratory event celebrating high achievement in minority girls living in Metro Atlanta. In addition to celebrating academic excellence in young women Tanya wanted to honor women doing extraordinary things in the community.DSC_2922

Rashan Ali motivated the young women to embrace new beginnings now. She urged them to make their dash counts. She told them that their goals should be to give back and motivate their peers to do better.
