R&B Singer Jazmine Sullivan known as our generation’s Aretha Franklin made her triumphant return to the ATL to a sold out audience at Center Stage.
I had the privilege of seeing her live and in living color. Let me tell you that this concert was EVERYTHING. I don’t really do concerts but when they told me that Jazmine Sullivan was coming to the ATL; I made it a point to check her out.
Check out the details below.
Jazmine Sullivan returned to the ATL after a four-year hiatus, she recently released her highly-anticipated third studio album, Reality Show, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart and #12 on their Top 200. Reality Show is an upbeat, dynamic record that effortlessly blends elements of R&B, neo-soul, pop, jazz and other genres all backed by Jazmine’s signature bluesy, power-house vocals.
If you have not experienced the “Sullivan Effect” you have truly missed out. People were falling out on the floor, crying tears of joy, and experiencing pure BLISS from her music. I really did not know that it was going to be so dynamic. I have followed her career since her music was first leaked on YouTube.
To be 100, I don’t do concerts too much because they don’t treat photographers well. I mean it’s so disrespectful to use photographers and only want them to take pictures for the first three songs and then they have to leave. I mean what’s the POINT? Why would I want to waste my time on the first three songs? I am all about celebrating artists and being a supporter but it would BE NICE if the favor would be returned.
I had a great time. Check out the images below.
