Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are saying “I do” again. The couple renewed their vows Friday at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. Mariah shared her feelings about the moment in a Twitter post after the ceremony. She wrote, “Tonight was an incredible night. I can’t express how amazing it was to renew our vows in Paris at the top of the Eiffel tower.”
Today officially marks four years to the day that Mariah and Nick first exchanged vows in The Bahamas in 2008. Today is also the first birthday of the couple’s twins, Monroe and Moroccan, who were born on Mariah and Nick’s third wedding anniversary last year.
The celebrations follow a number of health scares for Cannon who has been hospitalized several times since January, once for what Mariah referred to as “mild kidney failure.” Cannon later revealed that he was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that caused the kidney defect. He recently stepped down from his New York City radio show to focus on his recovery but is expected to continue to host “America’s Got Talent” on NBC later this year.
Eurweb reports “The National Enquirer is reporting that Mariah Carey’s estranged sister is battling cancer.
Alison Carey Scott, a convicted prostitute, has seen her health seriously deteriorate in recent years after she was diagnosed with HIV, and now doctors have discovered she is also suffering from liver cancer.”
A National Enquirer reporter recently met with Scott, 50, outside a hotel in Riverhead, New York, where she confirmed she was extremely ill, saying, “Not with AIDS… liver cancer.
Mariah, who is currently in France, reportedly has not been informed about her sister’s latest health crisis. She has been supporting her husband Nick Cannon through his own health battle after he was diagnosed with a rare form of autoimmune disease lupus in January.
A source tells the tabloid, “Mariah’s been to hell and back with Nick’s health problems… Now Alison’s tragedy will be a double whammy for her.â€
Mariah fell out with Alison early on in her career, but she has previously supported her older sister through her drug addiction and even paid for her to undergo treatment in rehab.
