I had the time of my life last night at the Essence Festival 2015 concert featuring the likes of Kem, Ms. India Arie, Uncle Charlie Wilson, Mr. Frankie Beverly featuring Maze, and many many more. The Mercedes-Benz Super Dome was on fire as fans across the world came together to enjoy good music, fun, and celebrity sightings of the most epic kind. I had the chance to kick it with some of my favorite actors, actresses, and reality tv stars including Kelly Price, Mike Epps, LeToya Luckett, Cynthia Bailey, Lisa Wu, Paula Jai Parker, and so many more. All roads lead to New Orleans for the 2015 Essence Festival with is going on strong and I have all of the details below.
Last night fans from across the world made their way to New Orleans to celebrate the Fourth of July holiday weekend over good food, good music, entertainment, and education powered by the 2015 Essence Music Festival. I made my way to the Mercedes Super Dome to get my music fix and kick it with some of the homies. I had the opportunity to check out some of my favorite acts. Why jamming to the music I caught glimpses of some of my favorite people in the industry.
Singer LeToya Luckett was spotted enjoying a night out with her girls. She made a point to stop and catch up with your boy and she wanted me to tell you that Essence is where everybody needs to be!!!!
Then I spotted the lovely ladies of ‘Hollywood Divas’ Lisa Wu, Paula Jai Parker along with her hubby Forrest Martin was spotted getting their grove on to the sounds of Frankie Beverly featuring Maze. The two gal pals were all smiles for the camera and greeting fans.
Cynthia Bailey was spotted enjoying a little soul music with her baby girl Noel Robinson and the two were all smiles for the camera as they jammed out at the 2015 Essence Festival.
Actor Mike Epps was spotted by adoring fans during the Frankie Beverly featuring Maze segment. Mike Epps took time out of his concert to greet his fans and share candid Nikon moments.
The first night of the 2015 Essence Festival Music Concert was everything. They had five different stages that powered music to fit everybody’s musical taste buds. On the main stage there was KEM, India Arie, Charlie Wilson featuring Maze. On the Coca Cola stage there was Slick Rick and Doug E Fresh jamming to the old hip hop classics of yesterday. There was Adrian Marcel and Nico & Vinz in the Ford Superlounge showcasing new music and innovation. Then Verizon had the neo soul sounds on lock with the likes of Goapele and Kindred The Family Soul with funny lady Luenell serving up the comedy. Then the R&B legends were found in the Walmart Superlounge with Avery Sunshine, Jonathan McReynolds, Lalah Hathaway, and Kelly Price belting out love music.
