Prince William and Kate Middleton’s marriage is now one year old. Yesterday marked one year to the day the royal couple exchanged wedding vows in a ceremony fit for a future King of England. People all around the globe tuned in to watch the event unfold live at Westminster Abbey. The royal couple has kept up many appearances since that day on April 29, 2011. They began their tour as the newly anointed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in June of that year, taking in the sights and sounds of Canada and California. The couple also lent their time to a number of a charity-based causes and events.
William and Kate reportedly celebrated their anniversary quietly this weekend, splitting their time between visits with a few close friends and at their home in North Wales. One of those “friendly” visits took place at the Saturday wedding of one of Kate’s close pals at a country church in England. Earlier this year, toy company Mattel launched the William and Kate Barbie dolls to coincide with the couple’s anniversary. Here are photos to take you back to the day…
