President Obama Responds To Nicki Minaj Romney Endorsement

You might recall our recent coverage of Nicki Minaj‘s controversial verse on Lil Wayne’s new Dedication 4 mixtape, in which she seemingly throws her support behind Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. President Obama offered his thoughts on the line in an interview with Power 105.3 in Orlando:

“I’m not sure that is actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But, she likes to play different characters. So I don’t know what’s going on there.”

It seems that the POTUS doesn’t take Nicki‘s Romney lyric seriously and thinks it was just a harmless rap and she didn’t mean it. Do you think President Obama is trying to deflect the issue by shrugging it off with his signature good-humored attitude, or do you think he’s correct and the lyric wasn’t a true Romney endorsement?
