Akon is being sued for a quarter of a million dollars over a concert at which he didn’t appear. TMZ.com reports that the hip-hop star failed to show up to a show in Belgium in October of 2009 and the concert promoter is suing for breach of contract. Lofraco Belgium has filed a lawsuit in the Supreme Court of the State of New York saying they were told Akon had to pull out just eight days before his scheduled concert with his label artists Colby O’Donis and Kardinal Offishall. The promoter claims to have fronted the rapper 125-thousand-dollars for his appearance. In addition to suing for breach of contract, Lofraco Belgium is also alleging fraud and concealment. The promoter wants 250-thousand-dollars in expenses as well as punitive damages that are reportedly in the multi-millions.

this promoter is in the wrong line of work, if it was me i would only front ten percent, of what the fee is, its a better pill to swallow if you’re only out of 20,000 as apposed to 125,000 dollars and would make sure he signs a iron clad contract,
