As we told you yesterday, the Hip Hop community lost one of their legendary rappers Heavy D at the age of 44. According to TMZ a call was placed to 911 stating that a man was unconscious in the hallway aroung 11:00 a.m. Whenever paramedics finally arrived Heavy D was reportedly responsive and even speaking but was still rushed to a nearby hospital where he was soon after pronounced dead. Cops are continously investigating this death and have said that there were no signs of any foul play. Check inside for the update.
“Heavy D had just returned from shopping and walked up some stairs when he began having trouble breathing. Adam Mills, a designer who was in the building and knew Heavy D, found him leaning against a railing and clearly in distress. Adam tells us he cradled Heavy D in his lap as others called 911. Adam says Heavy D was conscious and said to him, “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe.†When paramedics took Heavy D to the hospital he had a pulse. People in the building are saying he died of a heart attack, but we have not been able to confirm that. Law enforcement sources tell us … no foul play was involved and so far they only know the cause of death was “medical.â€

We last seen Heavy D at the  BET Hip Hop Awards last month where he performed some of his old hits and looked absolutely fine as he lit up the stage and hyped fans. Once again our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. R.I.P Heavy D!

Aiyyo here’s the situation: Idiodicy
Nonsense, violence, not a good policy
Therefore we must ignore, fightin and fussin
Hev’ is at the door so there’ll be no bum-rushin
Let’s get it together or we’ll be fallin apart
I heard a brother shot another. It broke my heart
I don’t understand the difficulty, people
Love your brother, treat him as an equal
They call us animals mmm mmm I don’t agree with them
I’ll prove them wrong, but right is what you’re proving them
Take heed before I lead to what I’m saying
Or we’ll all be on our knees, praying…….
Heavy D- Self Destruction
R.I.P. Hev!
