Coolio’s arrest in Las Vegas on Friday has resulted in a mini-family reunion of sorts for the rapper and his son behind bars. TMZ says Coolio was taken to the same jail facility where his oldest son, Grtis Ivey, is being held on a slew of charges including robbery. Coolio was arrested after a traffic stop in Vegas. Although he was just a passenger in the car that was pulled over, police discovered he had two active bench warrants out for his arrest stemming from past traffic violations. He was taken to Clark County Detention Center. That’s where his son, Grtis, has been in custody since last November for his alleged involvement in a collaborative robbery incident with a prostitute.
Grtis appeared on Coolio’s 2008 family reality show “Coolio’s Rules” on which he went by the name Artis. He’s being held without bail and is expected to face a judge today. Bail for Coolio, meantime, has been set at more than 58-hundred-dollars. His court date has not yet been set.
