Raven-Symone is taking her “act” to Broadway. The former “That’s So Raven” star is set to make her Broadway debut in Whoopi Goldberg’s “Sister Act.” Symone will be playing the role of Deloris Van Cartier, which is the same character Goldberg played in the 1992 movie “Sister Act.”
“The Hollywood Reporter” says Raven will be taking over the part from Patina Miller, who is leaving the production on March 18th. Raven says performing on Broadway has always been a dream of hers, and she’s “beyond thrilled” to be a part of “such a fantastic show.” Whoopi, who is the show’s producer, says fans are going “to be wowed” by Raven’s performance.
