Jesus Shuttlesworth saved the season for Miami and forced game seven!
It’s been mentally and physically exhausting for the players and their fans this NBA finals series. Who is going to triumph as Game 7 approaches? We can thank Ray Allen, also known as Jesus Shuttlesworth from the Spike Lee movie, “He Got Game”, for forcing game seven with his game tying three-pointer sending the game into overtime. The Heat would go on to win the game 103 to 100.
LeBron James recorded a triple-double with 32 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, including 18 points in the fourth quarter and overtime. The win gives Miami a chance at back-to-back titles. Tim Duncan may be left wondering if the Spurs blew his best chance for a fifth title.
“It’s by far the best game I’ve ever been a part of,” James said. “The ups and downs . . . the roller-coaster. I’m blessed to be a part of something like this. I’m happy the way we dug down and got a win.”
“It’s obviously disappointing,” Duncan said. “It’s a one-game series now. I don’t know what happened in the fourth and overtime.”
Game 7 is do or die!
