After a petition of 5,000 signatures pushing for Bert and Ernie to get married following NY state’s recent implementation of marriage equality, Sesame Street felt the need to set the record straight, totally: Bert and Ernie are not gay! Never have been, never will be. Responding to the petition, they released the following statement,
“Bert and Ernie are best friends. They were created to teach pre-schoolers that people can be good friends with those who are very different from themselves. Even though they are identified as male characters and possess many human traits and characteristics (as most Sesame Street Muppets do), they remain puppets, and do not have a sexual orientation.”
Hmmm, do you think this statement will stop the gay rumors? Geez, it hasn’t for some celebrities that shall remain nameless.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!! Hell no, this is a bad idea and this thought must have came from a RETARD!!!! Look I’m cool with gays and Lesbians equal rights but this is taking it too far! If being gay was ok then they would not have to push the issue so damn hard to make others understand, you are free to love and be with whomever you choose to be with so the fight is over!!! If you are gay then to eaches own but don’t take my right away if I choose to grow my child up to be header sexual, as long as I don’t teach my kids to hate gays and the lifestyle they chose to live then why do I have to expose my kids to that type of lifestyle especially at an early age??? Sesame Street is there to teach children how to read, count, and to be kind and giving so leave the sexuality and lifestyle up to the parent. I have a lot of friends that are gay, hell my sister is gay but my kids will always know that God made Adam and Eve but if you grow up to choose to be an Anna and Eve then that’s your choice and your life.
I think this let me MAKE YOU all except the gay lifestyle is out of hand, if that’s your lifestyle then fine, STOP trying to confuse the little kids and stop trying so damn hard to make all people except it, it’s your way of life so live it, everyone does not have to live it with you only respect you.
