Undoubtedly Organized Noize, the pioneers of the dirty south movement, are the creative team behind the landscape of what the contemporary Atlanta hip-hop scene represents today.  The trio is responsible for some of the biggest hits in hip hop and R&B including songs for the Grammy Award winning group Outkast, the biggest-selling R&B girl group in the history of music TLC, ground-breaking rap group Goodie Mob which ignited CeeLo Green’s solo career, music and film star Ludacris, as well as R&B divas EnVogue, legendary artists Eric Clapton and Curtis Mayfield.

Organized Noize Frontman Rico Wade states, “The original vision of Organized Noize was based on making the music that supplied the Dungeon Family collective with unique sounds that were true to who we are and where we come from; while complementing the acts individually.

“Because we have three minds working together we are able to be outside of where one person can be creatively most of the time; which in turn, allows us to appeal to more people,” adds Ray MurrayOrganized Noize’s king of beats.

The hit-makers have outsold every other hip hop movement that has come out of Atlanta with accolades that include, but are not limited to, recognizing the talent of a teen-aged group called Outkast who eventually garnered a Diamond certified album for Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, and producing TLC’s biggest hit, “Waterfalls.”

“The City of Atlanta is proud to partner with Seventy 2 Music for the screening of The Art Of Organized Noize,” said Chris Hicks, director of the Mayor’s Office of Film and Entertainment. “Organized Noize’s impact on shaping the hip-hop community in Atlanta over the past 20 years is undeniable. Their seminal work with Outkast and the Goodie Mob gave voice to an entire generation and created a blueprint for Atlanta creatives. The City congratulates Organized Noize and their many accomplishments as they celebrate a career that has so strongly been informed by their hometown of Atlanta.”

The film boasts appearances that include: LA Reid, Big Boi, Andre’ Benjamin, Ludacris, CeeLo Green, 2 Chainz, FutureBig Gipp and Sean “Puffy” Combs who directed the first Outkast video and speaks on Organized Noize’s influence on the culture exclaiming, “I will protest if they are not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.”

“We couldn’t tell the story of Organized Noize and truly capture what the Art of Organized Noize represents without including the artists and executives who helped their creative vision come to fruition,” explains one of the documentary’s producers and Organized Noize manager Orlando McGhee.

The trio continues to work on new music today and is currently in the studio with Outkast’s Big Boi.  They have recently worked with J. Cole and Dom Kennedy and were instrumental in the launch of Future’s career.

Organized Noize’s soulful Sleepy Brown jokingly remarks, “This is our second coming, we better take full advantage of this one.”
