Rapper Shyne is calling on the President and fellow rapper Kanye West to end the violence in Chicago.
According to Allhiphop.com, the rapper took to Twitter to ask President Obama to do something to end what he calls the “genocide” on the streets of Chicago. He writes that there must be “something the former U.S. senator from Chicago can do for his former constituents!” He then tells President Obama to enlist Jay-Z to help bring down violence. He says Jay should fly his private plane to Chicago to help the situation on the streets. He adds that if the president can call on celebrities to win Ohio, he should be able to convince them to help with curb Chicago’s murder rate.
Last year in Chicago there were 506 murders in the Windy City. That’s a 16 percent jump from previous years. Much of the violence has been attributed to gangs, with many of the victims being children under the age of 18.
